The flooring world moves fast. One year it’s gray everything, the next it’s natural tones and patterned carpets. But while trends may come and go, great design never goes out of style. At Lavy’s Flooring, we help homeowners in Zanesville and beyond strike that perfect balance between what’s trending now and what will still look beautiful in ten years.
So what’s hot right now—and how do you decide if it’s right for you?
Natural textures are taking center stage. Think light wood tones, white oak finishes, hand-scraped surfaces, and organic grain patterns. These styles bring warmth, openness, and a down-to-earth vibe to any space. They work especially well in Ohio homes where cozy meets classy.
Patterned carpet is also back—in a big way. From subtle tone-on-tone geometrics to bold florals and modern motifs, patterned carpets are popping up in stair runners, bedrooms, and home offices. They add personality and polish without overwhelming a room.
Wide planks are another trend with staying power. Whether it’s hardwood, vinyl, or laminate, wide planks create a more seamless look and make small rooms feel bigger. In open-concept homes, they visually tie everything together.
Color trends are evolving, too. Gray isn’t gone, but it’s being replaced with warmer hues—like soft browns, creamy taupes, and even greige. These tones are versatile and forgiving, perfect for families and pet owners.
If you want something truly timeless, mid-tone woods, classic loop carpet, and neutral palettes are your best bet. These styles won’t scream “2025” five years from now, but they’ll still feel fresh and grounded.
Our advice? Choose trends you love—not just trends you see online. Your floors should reflect your style, your needs, and your space. If you want a bold look, go for it. But if you’re designing for the long haul, we can help you choose materials that blend trend and tradition beautifully.
At Lavy’s Flooring, we don’t just follow the latest looks—we understand how they work in real homes. From product selection to installation, we’re your design partner, helping you create a space that’s truly yours.
If you’re in Zanesville and ready to find floors that balance timeless charm with today’s best ideas, we’re here to help. Let’s create something beautiful—starting from the ground up.
