Who says you need to live in a big city to have cutting-edge style? Zanesville homeowners are proving that trend-savvy design has a home right here in southeast Ohio. At Lavy’s Flooring, we’ve noticed some exciting shifts in what our customers are choosing—and these trends are equal parts practical and polished.
Ready for a flooring refresh? Here’s what’s catching on in Zanesville homes right now.
Textured Carpet Is In
Carpet is more stylish than ever, and textures are leading the charge. Homeowners are ditching plain plush for patterned loops, cut-loop styles, and subtle sculpted designs that add depth without overpowering the space.
These textures aren’t just pretty—they’re practical, too. They hide wear, reduce visible footprints, and add visual interest to everything from stair runners to living rooms.
Earth Tones and Soft Neutrals
Gone are the days of bold reds and stark whites. Today’s floors embrace warm earth tones, soft grays, sandy beiges, and natural wood hues that feel grounded and timeless. These colors complement almost any decor and keep your space feeling light and open.
Looking to match flooring to existing furniture or wall colors? Our team can help you find the perfect tone to tie everything together.
Low Maintenance, High Style
Zanesville homeowners are busier than ever, and flooring needs to keep up. That’s why many customers are choosing low-maintenance materials like vinyl plank and performance carpet. These products offer the look of high-end materials without the upkeep—and they stand up to kids, pets, and parties with ease.
Layered Looks and Mixed Materials
Want to give your home that designer edge? Mix carpet with hard flooring in smart ways. For example, luxury vinyl in the kitchen paired with a soft carpet in the dining nook creates texture contrast and visual appeal.
We’ve even seen customers combine different flooring finishes—like matte wood-look vinyl with glossy tile—for a custom, high-end look.
